The flight from London Heathrow to Zagreb
left at the ungodly hour of 7.25am which meant at 5.25am check‑in. My friend Richard kindly took me to
Heathrow. The flight itself was
uneventful.
Our coach trip to our resort of Louvran was
mostly through pouring rain. I was
impressed by the quality of the roads, no potholes here. We also went through many tunnels though
mountains. Our guide said the tunnels had
only been there for about 10 years. Again the tunnels were excellent. I was impressed and embarrassed at the
standard of the English in the cafés we stopped at.
Finally we arrived at the Remisens Hotel
Excelsior where our travels ended for the day.
I did take the following couple of pictures in opposite diections from my balcony. It is lovely to smell sea air again.
