I started my day waiting to catch the tender to shore and viewing some pretty plaques to commemorate Silver Spirit's first visit to a particular port.
Our day in Dubrovnik started with a walking tour of the old town including a visit to the Dominican Monastery and Cathedral.
Inside the Dominican Monastery there was an ancient document written on lambskin.
Lunch was at a typical Croatian country home where we had the local rustic specialities of lentil soup, slow cooked lamb with potato and apple tart.
The lamb and potato were baked slowly outside in a pan surrounded by hot coals.
We then returned to Dubrovnik where I did a circuit of the city walls to walk off lunch. This was quite a challenge as there were many steps however the views made the effort worthwhile.
It was a relief to return to the Silver Spirit after a very long day.
